After many years (5) of writing, maintaining, designing, redesigning, and managing the domain pixelnomad.com, I’ve decided to retire it and move to a new online space: othersean.com.
It’s not that I don’t like pixelnomad, I do. But I’m tired of having to keep it running, tired of having to constantly design it, tired of working with broken content management systems. My interests in building for the web have changed and I don’t have the patience for managing a site anymore. To put it simply, the only interest I have in a personal site is to create content.
And I think I like the domain “othersean” a bit better.
I’m not sure what I’m going to do with the old content on Pixelnomad. For now it will live on my computer and I may occasionally re-post some of the better entries here. This site is currently running on tumblr, a free service that allows me to easily publish my thoughts and add content I find interesting throughout the web. It will probably stay here for awhile and who knows if it will ever move or change.
I will lose a significant amount of google juice with this move and that’s ok by me.
